Siphon heater

Siphons are used in sanitary facilities on rail vehicles to reliably separate odors and prevent backflow. However, in winter there is a risk that the water in the siphon will freeze during prolonged periods of inactivity or insufficient heating, resulting in leaks, unpleasant odors, or malfunctions.

The siphon heater from elke TECHNIK is a flexible, user-friendly heating solution that is placed directly around the siphon like a heating sleeve.
Targeted, even heating keeps the temperature of the standing water in the siphon above freezing point – regardless of the vehicle’s operating status. Direct heating of the siphon – prevents freezing during downtime

  • Even heat distribution thanks to flat heating technology
  • Maintenance-free, reusable, and easy to install
  • Can be combined with thermostat or sensor control
  • Resistant to moisture, vibration, and cleaning agents
