Pantograph heating for the rail vehicle industry

Pantographs are highly stressed, safety-relevant components of rail vehicles that are responsible for collecting electricity from the overhead line. However, in winter there is a risk of ice forming on the support frame, especially in the area of hollow profiles and struts.

The elke TECHNIK pantograph heater is inserted directly into the hollow profile of the pantograph frame. There it ensures targeted, even heating of the interior areas – without any external impact on the mechanics or aerodynamics. The heater can be positioned without tools using special insertion aids and is designed for continuous outdoor use.

  • Internal heating to prevent ice formation on struts and profiles
  • No impairment of mechanics or aerodynamics
  • Available with installation aid
  • Vibration- and shock-resistant design for operation in current collectors
